Pick Your Plan

You can train for three months, six months, or one year. Each plan starts out with the same workouts. The six-month plan then builds off of the three-month plan, and the year plan builds off of the three- or six-month plans. The MCC Hybrid Training plans will get you in great cycling shape and prepare you for life. Whether you want to play ball with your kids or get through a full day of yard work without issues, what would you have expected to get from a program created by a physical therapist?

WHY CYCLING SPECIFIC HYBRID TRAINING?

SHORT AND SWEET BACKSTORY

Hi, I’m Steve. I created the MCC plans for two purposes. First and foremost, I wanted to help men like me that are starting to feel the affects of aging. Aging is inevitable, but my doctoral physical therapy training and 18 years of practicing has taught me the tools and tricks to combat the effects of aging. Secondly, I used to love running, but had to put running on hold due to a knee injury. After several frustrating years of trying to get back to running, I decided to focus on mountain biking and road cycling. Besides, biking is my true love. If you are feeling the effects of age and hate running or hurt when running, consider the MCC plans.

Each workout includes step-by-step videos of the exercises. You also get videos with tips and physical therapy techniques to aid with improving mobility.

FAQs

What exactly do I get when I purchase a season from MCC?

You get a three-month, 6 month, or year-long strengthening and mobility program that blends with mountain biking. Each plan includes step-by-step videos. After you sign up, you get instant access to the season through the MCC responsive online site.

Do I get lifetime access to the plan?

Yes, as long as MCC is in business.

Will this plan prepare me for a bike race?

No. The MCC Hybrid Training plans help you gain lean muscle while balancing cardio and strength training. Throughout the year, strengthening and biking sessions are periodized or organized to peak your bike performance while building power and strength. As your intensity increases on the bike, so does the strength training, but at a slightly different time so you don’t burn out. You can endure a punishing two-hour ride if you train throughout the year using the MCC Hybrid Training plan.

Do the MCC plans include structured bike plans that work with a trainer?

Yes. We understand that sometimes you must train inside due to time or inclement weather. If you plan on training inside, you have many options. The MCC seasons use Garmin trainer files to control a compatible trainer. To train on a trainer, you could use any of the following setups:

  • Option 1: Compatible trainer, Garmin Edge device, Garmin watch that broadcasts heart rate
  • Option 2: Compatible trainer, Garmin Edge device, heart rate band compatible with the Garmin Edge
  • Option 3: Compatible trainer, Garmin watch that connects and controls the trainer, heart rate band compatible with the Garmin watch

I’m new to strength training. Is this program for me?

This program is designed for someone who’s somewhat familiar with the gym and has beginner to intermediate experience with weightlifting.

What makes this program different from others?

Besides being a plan that combines mountain biking with strength and mobility training, this plan is tailored for those of us experiencing noticeable changes in our bodies when we start to hit our 30s and 40s. The MCC Hybrid plans are tailored to address those changes. A lot of the MCC workouts include a greater focus on warming up the body correctly as well as mobility for the joints and soft tissue. The MCC plans are working out with a physical therapy twist because it was designed by a physical therapist. That doesn’t mean that these workouts are easy. In fact, these workouts are intense and intended to push you to your limits. You need to challenge yourself but challenge yourself in safe, effective, and age-appropriate ways.

Why were the MCC strength training programs created?

The MCC programs were designed to help men train realistically. I created the plans based on the feedback I was getting in the physical therapy clinic when I was practicing.

This program is not to turn you into the next Thor but to get you close while remaining healthy. Besides, social media and movies are not real, or are they?

Can I get a refund?

Yes. We’ll refund your payment if you’re unhappy with the season within seven days of ordering it.
